Mandatory to Link Aadhar with UAN w.e.f. 1st June 2021

The Government of India- Ministry of Labour & Employment has issued a Gazette Notification dated May 3, 2021 which mandate the Govt. bodies working under it to seek Aadhaar number from the beneficiaries under the Social Security Code 2020. The provision of section 142 of the Code on Social Security 2020 shall come into force w.e.f. 3^rd May 2021. The Copy enclosed.

In continuation of the above Gazette Notification the Employee’s Provident Fund Organisation had issued the message to the all employers on dated 27^th May 2021 that following changes will implemented w.e.f.1^st June 2021. The copy enclosed.

ECR (Electronic Challan Cum Return) shall be allowed to be filed only for those members, whose Aadhar numbers are seeded and verified with the UANs ,w.e.f 01.06.2021.

• Link your Aadhaar number in the UAN to avail uninterrupted services of the EPFO.

• Members can validate their Aadhaar with UAN through the online e-KYC facility available on the member portal, as well as the UMANG App,

You are advised to inform all your employees whose Aadhar are not verified with PF/UAN No. to get it verified on the PF Member Portal else their PF Monthly Contribution will be not submitted on the EPFO portal.
